RE:MEDY is a hybrid design intervention developed to resolve the ‘Digital Detox Dilemma’, addressing the irony of relying on apps to overcome smartphone addiction. Grounded in Self-Determination Theory (SDT), it moves beyond restrictive, screen-based tools that can cause stress and fatigue. By shifting attention to physical space, RE:MEDY encourages time away from notifications and doomscrolling for self-reflection and rest.
The concept film combines generative AI with motion graphics to show how these interactions could fit into everyday routines. I later developed physical prototypes using Arduino and 3D printing. (Presented in TechnoTerra: Archive of the Future at UAS)
